Lunvera Circle – Values & Safety Standards

Lunvera Circle exists to support connection, learning, and community care — particularly for families navigating the perinatal journey. All participants (service providers, facilitators, and community members) agree to uphold the following values and safety standards to ensure a respectful, ethical, and supportive environment.

Our Core Values

1. Safety First

Emotional, cultural, and physical safety are foundational. Lunvera Circle prioritizes environments that are non-judgmental, consent-based, and trauma-informed.

2. Respect & Dignity

All individuals are treated with respect regardless of race, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, family structure, spiritual beliefs, or lived experience.

3. Cultural Responsibility

We honour Indigenous ways of knowing and being, and recognize the importance of cultural humility. Cultural teachings must be shared respectfully, with permission, and without appropriation.

4. Informed Choice

Lunvera Circle supports informed decision-making. Information shared is intended to empower — not direct, diagnose, or replace professional care.

5. Accountability

All participants are responsible for their words, actions, and boundaries. Harmful behaviour will not be tolerated.

Community Conduct Standards

All members and providers agree to:

  • Communicate respectfully and without harassment, discrimination, or coercion

  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of shared experiences

  • Respect personal boundaries and consent at all times

  • Avoid providing medical, legal, or clinical advice unless appropriately licensed and clearly identified

  • Refrain from crisis intervention unless explicitly trained and authorized

  • Use inclusive, non-shaming language

  • Honour differing lived experiences and parenting choices

Lunvera Circle reserves the right to remove any participant or provider who violates these standards.

Service Provider Standards

Service providers listed on Lunvera Circle agree to:

  • Accurately represent their credentials, training, and scope of practice

  • Practice within their professional and ethical boundaries

  • Clearly disclose whether their services are regulated, certified, or unregulated

  • Maintain professional insurance where applicable

  • Understand that listing on Lunvera Circle does not imply endorsement or clinical oversight

  • Comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws governing their practice

Providers are solely responsible for the services they offer and the outcomes of those services.

Client & Community Member Responsibilities

Clients and community members agree to:

  • Seek appropriate emergency, medical, or mental health care when needed

  • Understand that peer support, education, and community connection are not therapy

  • Take personal responsibility for decisions made based on shared information

  • Respect the boundaries and scope of service providers

  • Report concerns or unsafe behaviour to Lunvera Circle promptly

  • Lunvera Circle does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition

  • Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the individual’s own discretion and risk

By using Lunvera Circle, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Lunvera Circle is not liable for outcomes, injuries, losses, or damages arising from the use of information, events, or services accessed through the platform

  • All services are delivered independently by third-party providers

  • Lunvera Circle does not guarantee results, outcomes, or suitability of any service or provider

  • You release Lunvera Circle, its founder, affiliates, and partners from any claims arising from participation, except where prohibited by law
